Internet Explorer 7 Bug

I noticed a minor bug in Internet Explorer 7. Tab is separated from the page (see picture). That extra space disappears when I move focus from Internet Explorer window.

  4. I just open IE. It happens every time.
    I really do not know what causes it, I did not do anything special to IE. I have changed a few settings, but nothing special.
    I have just checked, and I can not reproduce that bug with the other user on my local machine.
    That really made me curious.
    So I performed “Reset Internet Explorer settings” (Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset Internet Explorer settings > Reset) and tried to reproduce that bug. I changed default settings to match settings I had before (at least settings I remember that I changed) and I could not reproduce it.

    But, I found another bug. :)

    Right click command bar (where tabs, Page and Tools are located). Context menu with Customize Command Bar will appear. Select “Add or Remove Commands…”. Remove everything from Current toolbar buttons. Click button Close. All buttons from command bar are removed. Restart IE. All buttons that were in command bar are back. You can reproduce it only if you remove all buttons, if you leave at least one button, if is not reproducible.
